ABOUT THE ROLE

At WeDoGood, we believe in the power of a strong, engaged community and are looking for a Community Manager to join our team and help us nurture our community of volunteers. As a Community Manager, you'll oversee volunteer onboarding and engagement, plan community events, and keep our community informed and engaged.
As WeDoGood is a startup in the scaling phase, we want someone who will be able to own & lead workstreams and work with the latest technology stack. You’ll have the chance to lead all the revenue streams of WeDoGood while being a key contributor to our long term sustainability.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as the main point of contact for the volunteer community. Address any concerns, feedback, or suggestions from volunteers.
  • Plan, organize, and execute offline and online events to engage and inspire the community.
  • Create initiatives and programs to keep volunteers motivated and actively involved across domains and experience levels.
  • Conduct interviews and show of interest calls with potential volunteers.
  • Select and onboard volunteers based on their skills and the needs of our partner NGOs.
  • Build and continuously improve frameworks for the onboarding and management of volunteers.
  • Manage and maintain our communication channels for volunteer community, including social media, newsletter and other platforms.
  • Collaborate with marketing and outreach teams to promote volunteer opportunities and community events.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2-5 years of experience
  • Someone who gains energy from talking to people and building relationships.
  • Has incredible communication skills - both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in social media management and content creation.
  • Creative and strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute engaging community programs.
  • Embrace setbacks and be open to learning anything new.
  • Has a passion for making a difference.
  • And finally, loves taking ownership and driving initiatives.

WORK EXPECTATIONS AND CULTURE OVERVIEW

  • This is a full-time role requiring availability 6 days a week, including Saturdays (half day) and Sundays off. We do provide flexibility in work timings, allowing you to manage chores and personal commitments during the week.
  • The role demands a strong willingness to work 45+ hours a week. We wouldn’t be able to take your application forward if you have circumstances preventing you from meeting these requirements.
